The first thing we need to address if there are still those who don’t think global warming is real. If I came to where you lived and cut 5x5 foot holes throughout your living space, so it’s exposed to the outside elements. In the summer, it would be hotter; in the winter it would be colder; this is what is happening in our atmosphere. There is no more saying it’s not real. We need concerted action now to stem the bleeding. Hopefully, it’s not too late. 

For those who are worried about jobs, the energy sector doesn’t lose jobs; they transform. The very nature of energy is transformative, so is the industry. That’s what will happen when we change to renewable energy. We need people to maintain the grid, equipment, everything. Jobs will be there that I promise you, in turn, we can start preserving our planet for the future. We need to invest in direct carbon capture technology. If we take renewable energies and direct air capture technologies and set them up in our rural communities, it will help revitalize their economy
